Health & Education Center
The competition calls for a health center on a 420 acre natural land. The center will provide accommodation, farming, livestock and education on healthy living. The proposal aims to create a new relationship between building and nature, inside and outside by looking at old building typologies in ancient Anatolia to create the 410,000 sf complex. The building is placed as a bridge between two sides of the water stream to unite the site. A series of programmatic courtyards are placed at the edges and center of the building to create new relationships between inside and outside, as well as man, architecture and nature. The perimeter and roof is covered with local stone to create thermal mass. The angulations of the roof will collect rain water in the courtyards as well as will create a 5th facade.
